Exam session

Exchange students must present their exams at the official exam dates, in the same manner as local students, and be available during the entire session. A written exam cannot be replaced by an oral exam, remotely, etc. It is therefore forbidden to individually organise one’s exams with the professors.

The exam schedule will be published on the HEC Lausanne website around 5 weeks before the exam session.

We recommend being in the exam room 15 minutes before the beginning of the exam for the instructions.

Exchange students are allowed to bring a language dictionary but in paper format, not electronic (without any annotations) to their exams.

Retake Session / Failed Exam

A failed exam during the winter or summer session can be re-taken a second and last time during the next catch-up session only (autumn session) on the dates set by the Faculty. No application for a special or off-site exam will be considered.

The opening of registration is always scheduled for mid-July. It lasts 2 weeks. The registration process is the same as for the other exam sessions.
