For a personalised support in fund raising (identification of funding sources, proposal conception, training request), contact the FGSE research consultant Amélie Dreiss.
For questions or to request a valid version of the guideline, contact the adjoint de faculté FGSE Rémy Freymond.
SNSF and EU offer different schemes at different stages of the career ( Eligibility to the main schemes).
The Deanship is committed to supporting through the FINV projects that constitute, in research or research infrastructure, investments for the Faculty. This fund also serves to amortize previous investments by encouraging their replacement when necessary. The fund offers 7 distinct reasons for financing, which can be summarized in 4 categories :
One or two campaigns are launched each year and the Research Commission notifies the requests for the Décanat.
Example of guideline (regularly updated, only the document sent to each campaign is valid)

Any person within the UNIL community who is the author of a scientific publication must deposit on Serval UNIL academic server, the PDF of his/her articles (journal, etc.) and book sections (chapters, etc.) and create a notice with links to the authors and units (see UNIL Open Access Directive). This in no way restricts your choice of publication in terms of format, timing or publisher.
In principle, the PDF cannot be modified or deleted once the notice has been published.
Useful information and guidelines can be found here :
To update their publication list on Serval, researchers can :
Researcher can request SNSF funds for the publication of books or book chapters.
UNIL Researchers can request funds for book OA publication through the UNIL Publication fund.
SNSF grantees can obtain funding of their articles in scientific journals (see SNSF rules).
For journal articles, UNIL offers different types of support:
The research data storing facility from the Scientific Computing and Research Support Unit from the IT Centre (DCSR) offers a NAS to store research data. The responsible research project leaders (Pl) from UNIL can request a storage space for a generic project "fourre-tout" and several identified projects (SNSF, UE, UNIL…). A contribution to the resource cost (see costs) will be charged to the PI according to the Ci general conditions.
The DCSR-Ci UNIL offers also a high-performance computing service (HPC) ; UNIL members can request a computing capacity (see operating costs).
The SWITCHdrive service is a Cloud that allows storing, synchronising and sharing files. It is a good alternative solution to Dropbox, OneDrive or Google Drive: SWITCH data are stored in Switzerland and respect the federal law on data protection (LPD) and UNIL directives.
To find a specialist or generalist data repository, the FNS suggests the use of re3data.org registry.
